Policy Coordinators
Policy Coordinators work under the Director of Policy to lay down policy frameworks for Health Equity Forward initiatives. Some of the projects they work on include analyzing emerging health policy and its implications, designing health policy-oriented advocacy campaigns, assisting chapters with policy portions of their projects, and more.
Research Coordinators
Research Coordinators work under the Director of Research to establish potential public health projects for Health Equity Forward initiatives. Some of the projects they work on include conducting systematic literature reviews for different public health cases, assisting chapters with research portions of their projects, and more.
Finance Coordinators
Finance Coordinators work under the Director of Finance to fundraise money for Health Equity Forward initiatives. Some of the projects they work on include applying to grants, coordinating cross-chapter fundraisers, assisting chapters with financing portions of their projects, and more.
Branding & Design Coordinators
Branding and Design Coordinators work under the Director of Branding and Design to create graphics and media for Health Equity Forward initiatives. Some of the projects they work on include running social media campaigns, designing weekly Instagram posts, monitoring and updating the website, and more.
Outreach Coordinators
Outreach Coordinators work under the Director of Outreach to create strategic partnerships for Health Equity Forward initiatives. Some of the projects they work on include facilitating communications for partnerships, organizing official emailing and messaging platforms, assisting chapters with outreach portions of their projects, and more.
Rural Healthcare Committee
Someone’s zip code should not dictate the quality of healthcare they receive, but we see disparities widen every day because of it. Rural communities and their healthcare systems are posed to face unique challenges, and thus, require unique solutions aimed to boost resource accessibility and improve health outcomes. With this project, we hope to focus on a two-pronged effort: (1) work with rural healthcare systems and build support tools, and (2) directly engage with rural communities to understand what their health priorities are.
Economic Justice in Healthcare Committee
Though colonialism is viewed as a facet of the past, we still see its grasp when comparing healthcare systems and economics in the global south versus the global north. Neocolonialism through global health funding must be addressed as we look forward to a new frontier of global health. This project aims to do so through (1) education on the history of healthcare in different global regions and (2) opinion articles on how we must move forward.
